Skinceuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50 Review

Allure Magazine has Voted this The Best Sunscreen three times.

Skinceuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50 product review

SkinCeutical’s Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF-50 won Allure Magazine’s “Best of Beauty” Award three times (2013, 2016, 2017). This lightweight tinted mineral sunscreen has been a favorite with beauty experts and dermatologist for years.

But before you buy this, you should know that it comes in only one tint. This mineral sunscreen claims to have a "universal tint" that adapts to your skin tone. It also promises a subtle smoothing effect on the skin. Often physical sunscreens leave some hint of a white cast. This product is no exception; fair and medium skin tones work well. But darker skin tones will experience a grayish cast. We agree that it's sheer, easy to apply and not greasy. And it wears well under makeup. On the right skin tone, it looks flawless.

Physical Fusion UV Defense is fragrance free but expect a slight minerally smell. It's not bad just know that it's not odorless.

“It's hard to find a mineral sunscreen that's sheer on all skin tones, and this sunscreen is a mineral formula: It's a mix of titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, the latter of which is the mineral I always look for in sunscreens, since many dermatologists say it's their favorite.” - Allure magazine

This sunscreen meets the "Reapply" standard and marks off on all our requirements.
